Then once you've
got it set up, you can suggest that they add your appveyor

Re-authorize AppVeyor for "public and private repositories". I'm
still trying to reproduce this issue with my own account (though
I'm able to add project and webhook into AppVeyor organization
repository), but usually re-authorization helps.

Another approach would be to make AppVeyor skipping webhook
creation error when adding public organization's repository you
don't have admin access to.

Feodor Fitsnertag:help.appveyor.com,2012-11-13:Comment/319350752014-06-27T12:34:10Z2014-06-27T12:34:12ZGitHub repository gives 404

Hi

I have a similar situation, I'd like to use AppVeyor with
HdrHistogram, which I'm a Commiter, but not owner of (https://github.com/orgs/HdrHistogram/teams).

I can see it as an option when I add a new Project, but then I
get the error "Error adding webhook to GitHub repository:
Response status code does not indicate success: 404 (Not
Found)."

Is there anything I can do? I don't want to run a private fork
of HdrHistorgram just for this.

Matt Warrentag:help.appveyor.com,2012-11-13:Comment/319350752014-06-27T16:22:33Z2014-06-27T16:22:33ZGitHub repository gives 404

The only option I see here is to make AppVeyor silently skipping
webhook setup if you don't have required permissions.

skip webhook creation if no required permissions.

Feodor Fitsnertag:help.appveyor.com,2012-11-13:Comment/319350752014-06-30T07:46:32Z2014-06-30T07:46:35ZGitHub repository gives 404

Thanks for doing that, it's working now.

Matt Warren
