Despite listing QT_BASE_PATH=c:\\Qt\\5.11 above the build log it doesn't seem to be present from within Python 3.7 at least.

While I do have other build issues I'm trying to get through there is at least one matrix config that passed (with Python3.6).

In this line and this line of a test build i performed, you can see that the environment variable is set and is present in the python build environment.

But why the key error is occurring remains a mystery...

Are you able to build this locally without that error?

Thanks for taking a look. I'm trying to build up towards the problem but haven't recreated it yet. Maybe I'll find more time tomorrow to try.

Yeah, it's an internal issue. The environment variable is there to begin with but I modify (iow, break for now) os.environ. Sorry for the trouble.
