We've migrated one of our projects from Hg to Git. Appveyor is smart enough that on new build it can read the latest commit message, but not smart enough to stop trying to do hg clone. How can we get it to understand it's a Git repo?

I think due to several things that are set at project creation time, the easiest solution would be for you to create a new project to which we can migrate the build history for you.
Once that is set up and we can verify the new project works, we can modify the project slug.
