Yes, I'm building msbuild on AppVeyor. I'll create a blog post if I get it working.

Discovering tests...OK
vstest.console /logger:Appveyor "C:\projects\msbuild\bin\obj\Microsoft.Build.CommandLine.UnitTests\Windows_NT\Debug\Microsoft.Build.CommandLine.UnitTests.dll" "C:\projects\msbuild\bin\obj\Microsoft.Build.Engine.UnitTests\Windows_NT\Debug\Microsoft.Build.Engine.UnitTests.dll" "C:\projects\msbuild\bin\obj\Microsoft.Build.Framework.UnitTests\Windows_NT\Debug\Microsoft.Build.Framework.UnitTests.dll" "C:\projects\msbuild\bin\obj\Microsoft.Build.Tasks.UnitTests\Windows_NT\Debug\Microsoft.Build.Tasks.UnitTests.dll" "C:\projects\msbuild\bin\obj\Microsoft.Build.Utilities.UnitTests\Windows_NT\Debug\Microsoft.Build.Utilities.UnitTests.dll"

I'm rerunning vsvars32.bat in case it matters. I'm not sure how vstest.console discovers named loggers.

Seems like it's not just installed for VS 2015 vstest.console. You can try copying its files from the same folder of VS 2013.

I ended up solving this with https://github.com/ctaggart/msbuild/blob/appveyor/appveyor.yml#L8

    copy 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 12.0\Common7\IDE\CommonExtensions\Microsoft\TestWindow\Extensions\AppVeyor*' 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 14.0\Common7\IDE\CommonExtensions\Microsoft\TestWindow\Extensions'
