Please update my GitHub handle

Hello, I believe I have a similar issue to this:

https://help.appveyor.com/discussions/problems/3902-please-update-my-github-handle

I updated my username on github to sfergusonATX (after having linked github <--> appveyor) and now whenever I try to oauth into AppVeyor, I get the following message:

User with email "[email blocked]" already exists. Link GitHub account to your existing AppVeyor account on "Profile" page.

My old account is still with AppVeyor, here is one of my latest builds (note the old username):

https://ci.appveyor.com/project/sferguson82/core/branch/master

In a means to try to start from scratch and fix it myself, I did remove the Third Party app entirely from my organization's github account. I"m not sure if this will interfere with any restore process. If so, I had only 2 apps setup, and both appvepyor.yml files are in source control, so wiping the slate clean is not a huge deal, but less than ideal :)

Please let me know if you need anything from me!!

Can you try logging in with a password by using https://ci.appveyor.com/forgot-password.
Once logged in go to Account settings -> Authorizations and revoke/re-authorize GitHub access.

Hello Owen, thanks for the help! I was able to get logged in again, and all the links between github and appveyor appear to be intact so far.

But, when I logged out and tried to log back in via oauth (after re-granting the appveyor access), I got the same error.

It's not a problem if I can't use oauth for the login process, I really needed to just get back in :)

If it's easy enough to fix, I prefer the oauth login; but if not, no worries.

Oh sorry, I sent you to repo auth. Instead go to https://ci.appveyor.com/security and do disable/re-enable GitHub login there.
