Under the account epics-base, project epics-base (https://ci.appveyor.com/project/epics-base/epics-base)
any rebuild (or restart) just pops up that error box.

Could you please have a look?

    Your account was blocked because you had queued jobs over 1000. To us, that looks like an abuse.
    We've unblocked your account but I would suggest, depending on what works for you, that you make use of commit filtering or branch whitelisting, or build only Pull requests in order to bring your build jobs back down to earth.

    And please accept my apologies: this was not intended and we have no intent of abusing AppVeyor.

    In our defense, the root cause for the exploding backlog was a job that was stalled forever (more than 100 hours after someone noticed and I cancelled), with no watchdog barking and for no apparent reason. Combined with a developer doing frequent commits to a PR, while completely unaware of the AppVeyor jobs they started... things got out of hand.

    We are aware that our build matrix is oversized. I am tasked with bringing the job duration down, probably by using a subset of the matrix for CI builds and build the full matrix only daily or on demand.

    Thanks again for your help.
    If I had a wish: an email notification about such exceptional situations, before blocking the account, could probably avoid requiring your personal intervention.

    No worries, I didn't mean to suggest that we perceived you to be a system abuser. There just has to be some detection mechanism for us to then follow up on. And we generally try to follow up on such matters quickly (within 12 hours usually).
