file, but fails validation

version: {build}

or a semver compliment one...

version: {build}.0.0

whenever the first valud of the version is
{build}

it fails validation.

We do this for our development code. We don't care about sem
ver, for that and these are not nuget packages, but
websites.

BUT, when i set the value via the AV UI, it works fine.

Not sure if this is a bug in the validator?

Pure Krometag:help.appveyor.com,2012-11-13:Comment/372587642015-06-30T14:09:11Z2015-06-30T14:09:11ZAppVeyor.yml validation error ... but it looks valid?

It should be:

value! ah! doh!!

is there any difference when i use
single quotes
vs

double quotes
?

eg. i have this in my
appveyor.yml
file (can't
remember where I copied it from)..

patch: true
file: AssemblyInfo.*
assembly_version: "{version}"
assembly_file_version: "{version}"
assembly_informational_version: "{version}"

notice how i'm using `double quotes` in this case? is there a difference?

i thought your yaml parser might have been custom --- but based
on you linking to that SO post, i can use either (and also, why use
either/or).
