File permission set to "nothing" after Elastic Beanstalk deply

I have simple build of a static website. The project builds and deploys ok, but files are changed to "blank permissions" rendering the webserver unasable.

Here's what I get when using ls -l, notice how file permission are ----------, I can change permission with sudo, but it's odd, normally file permissions do not need to be changed
