Setup AppVeyor for GitHub repo owned by someone else

I am taking over maintenance of a public GitHub repo but the author has retained ownership. This means that the repo is NOT under github.com/MyUser/TheRepo, but rather under github.com/TheOriginalAuthor/TheRepo.

When I try to add a new GitHub project in the AppVeyor interface I see all the repositories that I own but I don't see the repository that I am taking over. Is this a scenario that AppVeyor supports? Or should I attempt to convince the author to transfer ownership to me?

    I would do a separate "organization" (it's free for public repos) and move the repo over there. Then you can setup a team and authorize AppVeyor as GitHub App in that organization. Let me know if you have any questions.
