Using the current image results in failures along these lines:

Fragments\Fragment.cs(14,65): error CS0117: 'Resource.Id' does not contain a definition for 'content_frame' [C:\projects\Project\src\app\Project.Droid\Project.Droid.csproj]

It looks like the Resource.Desinger.cs file where that definition would normally be isn't getting built - has anything changed that would affect that?

Eli Marshaltag:help.appveyor.com,2012-11-13:Comment/485922192020-08-31T19:38:55Z2020-08-31T19:38:55ZXamarin.Android build failure with updated VS 2019 image

Hi Eli,

There was VS 2019 image update on this weekend which bumped VS 2019 version to 16.7.2.

Feodor Fitsnertag:help.appveyor.com,2012-11-13:Comment/485922192020-08-31T21:10:11Z2020-08-31T21:10:12ZXamarin.Android build failure with updated VS 2019 image

Oops, typo in my previous post, meant Resource.Designer.cs.

Had 16.7.2 but hadn't done a clean rebuild, can reproduce locally with a clean rebuild.

Looks to be this issue: https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/content/problem/1162237...

Not an AppVeyor issue, can close this.

Eli Marshaltag:help.appveyor.com,2012-11-13:Comment/485922192020-09-01T17:47:10Z2020-09-01T17:47:10ZXamarin.Android build failure with updated VS 2019 image

I've failed an issue on our side, so other users are aware: https://github.com/appveyor/ci/issues/3524 we'll be tracking this issue to see if it's fixed in the next VS release.

Btw, you'd like to comment there to let VS team know it's a common issue and maybe you'll be able to provide them with a build log they are asking.

Feodor Fitsner
