One of my projects is getting an "EPERM: operation not permitted, rename ..." error where as a few months ago this error didn't appear at all.
(Link to failed build: https://ci.appveyor.com/project/WhiteFang5/poe-overlay-community-fork/builds/42483183)

Any clue how to fix this?
I've already tried removing the npm cache I used to have.

Sorry, that was a private thread!

The build image has not been changed to cause that, so the problem is connected to upstream changes. There is a similar thread with the solution at the end: https://help.appveyor.com/discussions/problems/31313-npm-operation-.... In all cases it's mysterious @tootallnate.

Also, you don't need to install NPM with npm install -g npm as it's part of Node.js installation and is already pre-installed.

The removal of `npm install -g npm` seems to fix the issue. Thank you for the quick response
