I have next notification settings in my appveyor.yml file:

- provider: Slack
  incoming_webhook:
      secure: AAABBB+CCC==
  channel: '#custom'

By default incoming webhook set to other channel. it's configurtion works till update on 31/01/2016

Currently, notifications comming to channel, what's described in webhook on slack side, and channel property don't have effect.

    Right, "incoming_webhook" and "channel" are mutually exclusive settings. You either use webhook or token with channel name.

    I don't see why are incomming_webhook and channel mutually exclusive. According to slack API docs, they can be used together:
    https://api.slack.com/incoming-webhooks

    Incoming webhooks output to a default channel and can only send messages to a single channel at a time. You can override a custom integration's configured channel by specifying the channel field in your JSON payload.

    Also i don't know how to fetch the auth token other that just use a testing token:
    https://api.slack.com/docs/oauth-test-tokens
    Is this how it is supposed to be setup?

    Hm, "test tokens" sound confusing indeed, but looks like this is the "token" you need for Slack integration.

    Regarding channel override with incoming webhook I've added a new issue here: https://github.com/appveyor/ci/issues/1117
