Build nuget package with multiple .Net targets

What is the easiest/most straightforward way to create a nupkg (nuget package) targeting multiple framework versions? I'd like my package to support .Net 4.5, 4.5.2, 4.6, etc. I didn't see any documentation so I'm assuming I'd have to customize the build process with scripts and maybe have multiple projects for each target. I've never done this before so I'm not exactly sure what the best approach is.

Any help is appreciated.

    Hi Gregory,

Your approach is right, and other customers are going the same - separate projects and scripts for different targets.
