<p>I think that this is because AppVeyor build runs in custom implementation of PowerShell's <code>PSHost</code>, therefore you need to relax (or do not set) value of <code>PowerShellHostVersion</code> in your module manifest. Please look at <a href="http://blogs.microsoft.co.il/scriptfanatic/2010/01/14/module-manifest-gotcha/">this</a> blog post.</p>
