In what environment do you successfully use it? Is it actually
.exe
or maybe some
.cmd
/
.bat
file?
We have a lot of Python versions installed, but command is always
python.exe
, and version called depends on what folder you run it from.

Ilya Finkelshteyntag:help.appveyor.com,2012-11-13:Comment/427445012017-06-15T18:23:46Z2017-06-15T18:23:46ZAppveyor doesn't recognizes "python3" command.

Sorry, I researched about it and came to know that python3 doesn't work in windows because there's no .exe or .cmd or .bat file corresponding to python3 as you mentioned. The command works only after changing the .exe name or probably when using some virtual environment (which was the reason it was working in my windows system)

But using python3 in scripts for Unix system is a common practice, and it fails on appveyor. Can you suggest some short workaround to make python3 commands work for appveyor as well.

satwikkansaltag:help.appveyor.com,2012-11-13:Comment/427445012017-06-15T19:04:28Z2017-06-15T19:04:28ZAppveyor doesn't recognizes "python3" command.

I guess you can just copy/rename
python.exe
during the build.

Feodor Fitsner
