I'm seeing this error on the build script that is preventing the proper setting of the version variables.
Do I need to change anything on my script?

Sorry for delay with answer. I am not sure that I understand the whole workflow, but I think that this is related to the fact that secure variable are not available in pull requests.
Because of security concerns, for open source projects we have an option to enable secure variables for pull requests only from the same repository.

This error (GenerateSetVersionMessage) is showing around line 136.
Plase check the log and you’ll find it there.
From what I understand of the call stack there it seems that the script is trying to perform and HTTP request to the build server and that is failing. I’m guessing that’s trying to update an env var and that it’s failing.

Any chance you could look into this?
This can be easily reproduced by pushing new commits to an open PR. When the build after the initial one is triggered, this error occurs.
