My main concern whether it's safe to deploy it to an image with VS 2017.

Feodor Fitsnertag:help.appveyor.com,2012-11-13:Comment/439374302017-11-03T02:32:31Z2017-11-03T02:32:31ZVS2017 image missing SSDT Reporting Services

That's a great question and you raised a very good point. It looks like SSDT for VS2017 15.X is in preview because localization is not ready.

Alternatively, reporting service tools is released as VS extension and it isn't in preview.

Is this something that could be included in the image?

blawtag:help.appveyor.com,2012-11-13:Comment/439374302017-11-06T16:44:48Z2017-11-06T16:44:48ZVS2017 image missing SSDT Reporting Services

Hey Feodor, do you have any recommendation that can unblock us from building 2017 SSRS projects on appveyor?

blawtag:help.appveyor.com,2012-11-13:Comment/439374302017-11-06T17:31:52Z2017-11-06T17:31:52ZVS2017 image missing SSDT Reporting Services

You can use the following script to install SSDT extension into VS 2017 during
install
phase:

I've added a new issue to install SSDT for VS 2017: https://github.com/appveyor/ci/issues/1902

Feodor Fitsnertag:help.appveyor.com,2012-11-13:Comment/439374302018-01-09T16:07:04Z2018-01-09T16:07:04ZVS2017 image missing SSDT Reporting Services

Feodor, is the new SSDT / SSRS extension included in the current VS 2017 image?
