My build from github repository is failing with error log4net : error XmlHierarchyConfigurator: Could not create Appender [RollingFileAppender]. As far as I know I do not have log4net integrated in my project.

Can you please let me know why I am getting this error?

That's strange - AppVeyor doesn't use log4net either. Maybe there are some VS internals use it?...

Try running build with a normal msbuild verbosity, not minimal.

I changed verbosity to normal. I observe that, it is failing during deployment. I have disabled deployment now, but still it is trying to deploy. Can you please take a look and let me know what is going on? Thanks.

OK, I found that this error comes from Amazon AWS SDK extension. Removing the extension with the following command fixes the build:

    rd "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 12.0\Common7\IDE\Extensions\Amazon Web Services LLC" /s /q

    My build results: https://ci.appveyor.com/project/FeodorFitsner/vsostatusinspector/bu...

Thanks for the tip. 2 questions.

    1. Where should I add that command ? is it a post build command?
    2. Should't this be handled by AppVeyor build engine itself? I am not using AWS SDK and adding that command to fix error at AppVeyor does not seem right.

    Put it after "nuget restore".

Think of it as a temporary workaround ;) until we figure out how to fix that.

    solve my problem as well

I can only compare this to another project I have that doesn't have this issue.
The only difference in this project is that I am building a VSIX and would bomb out after this line.

Setting up Visual Studio for debugging extensions. This one-time operation may take a minute or more.

You can look at a previous build failure to see the differences.
