Rendering Markdown

One of my artifacts needs a small html page in order to deploy it. Similar to this, https://github.com/mgreenegit/ConfigurationTestExample except, my artifact is built. I'd rather use markdown than HTML. Preferably GitHub Flavored Markdown, so there is no confusion between the two.
