Hi:

So far we have used GUI to define project configuration. It has worked out well.
Now I have a need to update some appsettings for a worker role deployed to Azure.
The only way I can do this is by using a PowerShell script in a before build tasks to make the changes that pertain to a specific environment.
As a result of that I have to make 2 more copies my entire project settings. I can do this manually but I am hoping there is a better way to do this. Can I export the settings to yml file and import it?
Am I better off using appveyor.yml file?

You can export project settings into YAML from UI and then use REST API to import project settings from YAML: http://www.appveyor.com/docs/api/projects-builds#update-project-set... - you can use Poster or Fiddler to do request.
