Hi,

Are there any plan to support docker?

And also related to docker what about deploying to AWS ECS?

Regards,
David

    Hi David,

We'll be supporting Docker when Windows Server 2016 is out and for Windows 10 in our on-premise edition later this year.

    Feodor,
Do you have an estimated timeline for when AppVeyor will have Windows Server 2016 hosts? I read that Windows Server 2016 is going RTM at the Ignite conference (Started today).

To be clear, we would like to run a Linux Docker image inside of the AppVeyor host to allow us to build code on Linux. From what I understand the limitation is that Docker requires VT-X support and that is not available inside the Windows Server 2012 host?

    Thanks

Just want to point out that the Ignite conference does not start until next month 26th of September.

We'll start offering Windows Server 2016, Nano and Docker as soon as Windows Server 2016 is available in our data center.

Hi, do you have plans to offer Linux build images at some point as well? The problem with Windows is that they are extremely slow. While everyone is already building Docker images for more than a year now Windows has only managed to catch up really late, like always. With .NET Core being able to build on Linux it finally allows us to move faster than what the traditional Windows world has allowed us in the past, so it would be great to get that support in the build pipeline as well.

What do you think? Any plans into that direction?

It would be cool to support Linux, of course, and maybe we'll start experimenting with it later this year. But it's not trivial though and we still have a lot to do for Windows. I can't give you any ETA right now.

Ok, thank you. I am using other CI systems as well (at work) but really think that AppVeyor is the one with the best experience.
