Is it possible to deploy zip artifacts to a server behind firewall with build agent.

I'm a bit confused about the capabilities of the build agent. I installed it on my dev machine and tried to deploy a zip archive. It says it was sucessful in the log but I have no idea where the zip artifact might be on my machine if it is there at all.

The agent deploys zip or WebDeploy package to either IIS web site or Windows service (or just console app). The zip is extracted on target server to application root, it's not just for copying artifacts. What would be your desired use case here?

My use case was that I didn't have to go beg IT to set me up an ftp server
and account for the artifact drop. I've now done that so no big deal.
However a download agent with custom hooks/plug ins on the receiving end
would allow the dev ops guy to evaluate your product easier.

Well, that sounds interesting. I haven't though the agent might be used for pulling artifacts to the remote location. Will add an item to issues list.
