I have a post-build script that creates an archive folder that is being deployed successfully, however it's automatically being unzipped on the target machine. How can I prevent the archive from unzipping?

Here's the script:

7z a $env:deploy_name_installer".zip" $env:build_path_installer
Push-AppveyorArtifact $env:deploy_name_installer".zip" -DeploymentName $env:deploy_name_installer

    Hi Andrew,

What deployment provider do you use?

You are deploying artifact package as a Windows application?

Try to do double-zipping then. You can have AppVeyor to do part of zipping job like this:

    - ps: 7z a .\Dist\$env:deploy_name_installer".zip" $env:build_path_installer
    - path: Dist
      name: $(deploy_name_installer)

This will zip to folder Dist and then that folder will be zipped by AppVeyor and published as artifact wil deployment name deploy_name_installer
