trigger build with variable from gitlab pipeline
Hi,
my build uses a config file to drive the behaviour of my build script - occasionally I'd like to specify that it uses a different config file for a build.
I use GitLab and I see that it supports passing a variable when manually initiating a CI/CD build via pipeline:
https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/ci/variables/README.html#environment-var...
This looks perfect but I think AppVeyor uses the webhook integration whereas I imagine I would need to use the API to do this somehow? Is there a better way to achieve what I want?
I did think about simply including something in the commit message, but I often forget to do this, and I often don't make any changes to the files in the repo but still require it to build (as it downloads from external sources which may have been updated.

Thanks.

Do you mean that you want manual control over which yaml config file an individual build uses, or the ps1 build script that is invoked?
