Hello,

I just noticed that Chocolatey is already installed on the Build Worker, which is great news for me, as I was installing it as part of my build, which isn't required anymore! However, I noticed that the version that is installed on there is v0.9.8.23, what is the process for getting this updated? Chocolatey is currently at v0.9.8.27.

Thanks
Gary

Requesting on the forums is OK. I will upgrade Chocolatey to the latest one - thanks for letting us know.

Oh, and is it possible to call out the version of Chocolatey that is currently installed on the build page?

    And while I remember....

On the Build Worker, were you planning on just doing choco update chocolatey? If so, can I suggest that you don't do this. Starting in the next release of Chocolatey the default installation folder for Chocolatey is changing from C:\Chocolatey to C:\ProgramData\Chocolatey, so it would be better to do a fresh install of Chocolatey this time, rather than have to worry about moving things around in the next release. The current version 0.9.8.27 suggests that you change it if it detects during the update that you are using the old version, but it doesn't force a change this time around.

Yep I've seen the message. How would you remove Chocolatey completely?

    Simples! :-)

Just delete the C:\Chocolatey folder, and also clean up the environment variable, ChocolateyInstall that was added as part of the installation.

Sweet! Is it possible to update this page:

    http://www.appveyor.com/docs/installed-software

To say which version of Chocolatey is now installed?

One of them is :-) Chocolatey appears in the list twice for some reason. I was looking at the second instance of it.

Just looking through all old threads I have opened here...

The initial request to update Chocolatey has been done, which is great! Happy to close this thread if you could remove the duplicate entry for Chocolatey in the Build Worker Installed Software Page, or update the second entry to also have the current version number.

    Thanks!
