Example of a job

- matrix:
only:
- job_name: Build Test App
branches:
only:
- master

This is working when I push my commit in my feature branch (not master) to bitbucket. Only two jobs without the branches setting are executed as expected.

However, if I manually rebuild on AppVeyor page, a new build will trigger all jobs regardless of the setting of branches.

Is there a way to ensure the jobs are triggered correctly when I manually rebuild?

weerayuth_rtag:help.appveyor.com,2012-11-13:Comment/487906862020-11-02T22:48:52Z2020-11-02T22:48:52ZQuestion about running a new build on AppVeyor when there is a job for a specific branch.

You mean you are not getting the same behaviour with "Re-build commit" button or "New build"?

Feodor Fitsnertag:help.appveyor.com,2012-11-13:Comment/487906862020-11-03T01:15:27Z2020-11-03T01:15:27ZQuestion about running a new build on AppVeyor when there is a job for a specific branch.

Hi Feodor

Correct. All jobs are triggered when using "Re-build commit" button and "New build" button.

weerayuth_rtag:help.appveyor.com,2012-11-13:Comment/487906862020-11-03T02:08:38Z2020-11-03T02:08:38ZQuestion about running a new build on AppVeyor when there is a job for a specific branch.

One of the ways to workaround that issue is to "re-deliver" webhook request on GitHub repository.

Feodor Fitsnertag:help.appveyor.com,2012-11-13:Comment/487906862020-11-03T03:00:04Z2020-11-03T03:00:04ZQuestion about running a new build on AppVeyor when there is a job for a specific branch.

Sorry. I didn't mention earlier. I'm using Bitbucket. I don't see an option for "re-deliver" on Bitbucket.

Do you know if there is another workaround which might work with Bitbucket?

weerayuth_rtag:help.appveyor.com,2012-11-13:Comment/487906862020-11-03T19:16:27Z2020-11-03T19:16:27ZQuestion about running a new build on AppVeyor when there is a job for a specific branch.

You can do some trivial changes to the code and push updates just to kick off a new build.

Feodor Fitsnertag:help.appveyor.com,2012-11-13:Comment/487906862020-11-05T06:37:03Z2020-11-05T06:37:03ZQuestion about running a new build on AppVeyor when there is a job for a specific branch.

Thanks Feodor. I haven't got a solution for this yet.
However, I will address later if I need to.

If I make it working, I will share a solution.

weerayuth_r
