Is this normal? I was expecting that it would get extracted once the zipped artifact has been deployed? Is there a way to make it work like that?

Thanks

I made a work around by turning that sub directory into an application and use site_name and application_name options.

    Hi Mark,

What was your initial scenario (goal) though?

Well, we have a web application that redirects to another web application in its sub directory. It's not set as an application so I was thinking of just pushing via path option but apparently it would only ftp the zip to the location. So I just turned it into an application to make it work as a deploy using the application_name and site_name option.

I see. Web Deploy is much better than FTP because it's faster and pushes changes only.

Yeah, that's what I thought. Thanks again.
