Email alert
It is able to generate the code coverage report and store it in the artifact. It will be very useful, if it can email the report back. Is there a way to customize the contain of the email notification to include the test result and report? Thanks.

What is the file format of that report artifact?

The coverage report is in html, and the test result is in xml. I can make it all in html, if that makes it easier.

Including entire HTML would be easier, for sure. Though current template engine doesn't allow to do that we'll make sure artifacts are available in context when we start working on notifications improvements. Added an item for that: https://github.com/appveyor/ci/issues/46
