Just copying files and folders - no build

We are attempting to deploy just a full folder structure to a Linux server (using SFTP). When I add an artifact, the contents are archived to a zip folder and uploaded to the deployment directory on the Linux box. But now I just have a zip file sitting there. Is there a way to unzip the archive as part of the deployment (or not zip up the folders at all)? Can you give the command reference? I saw a number of posts just saying to use 7z in PATH, but I am unable to get this working...

Put artifact name/file into application field, not artifact.

    That worked well. Thanks!

Can you explain what is happening here? I do not see it specifically in the docs.

Sure, check first two sections in this article: http://www.appveyor.com/docs/deployment/ftp

...but it's really exciting to know that new SFTP provider works for real-world application! :)
