Slack notifications
Hi,
On this page http://www.appveyor.com/docs/notifications#slack it says to get the authentication token for Slack's API from api.slack.com.
I can't see how to do that? Does it mean an OAuth2 token?
Many thanks,
Barry

Hi Barry,
It's a "bare" token under Authentication section on this page: https://api.slack.com/web
Will fix docs shortly.

Thanks, I see that now and seems to work fine.
I have a second question though: I am seeing newer builds under "History"
but "Latest Build" shows one from a few hours ago - no matter how I try and
access the actual latest (to see build errors). Is there an issue?

Well, "Last build" currently displays either running build or first queued, it's not like top of queue.

Ah, I see.
So, I wonder why the I cannot see the build output from historic builds?
Could it be because they have the same version number? Is it possible to
view the build output from a failed build (that has the same version umber
as the previous)?

The same version number is not good. Are you setting it from build script or build number is just not incrementing?

I don't think it incremented (not setting it in build script). However, I
also clicked the "Re Build Commit" button and so ended up with 3 builds
with the same number and the middle one was the latest commit. While that
happened I got failed build notifications to Slack. I incremented the
number manually via Settings - and pushed an update - all seemed to go well
this time (I also received duplicate notifications, this time with success
messages).
A further push after that has incremented correctly and built successfully.
Not sure if that helps(!), I am going to assume the issue was with "Re
Build Commit" and just avoid using that if I can.
Many thanks,
Barry

Interesting, will take a look. Maybe a glitch but worth checking.
