Build fails due to cordova-fetch error

Build have started to fail lately due to something that looks like a connection to npm error:
The following is the first build that fails:
The main error is:
sing cordova-fetch for cordova-android@^7.1.4
npm : Failed to fetch platform cordova-android@^7.1.4
This started about 2 days ago. any similar issues?

    No similar issues, but there may be some avenues worth exploring here.

    Thanks for the info!
    It might be a cordova plugin that I recently added that started causing the build to fail.
    I'll look into it.

    Seems like the cause is a plug-in that I added. Thanks for helping out.
    Feel free to close this issue as it doesn't seem to be related to appveyor.

    Seems like this is an appveyor issue after all described here:
    Any change to get it fixed?

    CordovaError: Failed to fetch platform cordova-android@^8.0.0/ cordova – Error: Failed to fetch platform android

    If you face any of the above error, please perform following step to solve this

    1) Please add C:\Windows\System32 in envrionment variable paths
    2) ensure JDK/bin path is setup under JAVA_HOME and path
    3) ensure sdk path is setup under ANDROID_HOME and path
