Ability to only run build and test on pull request/branches?

We had a pull request come in for one of our projects (https://ci.appveyor.com/project/Exceptionless/exceptionless-ui) and it caused the build to fail because it tried to deploy it to dev.. Is there any way to tell it that you don't want to do any releases / deployments / for anything not in master (a pull request)?

    Deployment steps are not called during PR builds anyway or you mean something else?
