Ruby on windows server ?

Hi AppVeyor,

We have a multi-platform desktop application and we want to use your platform for handling the windows build.

The fact is, we use ruby's Rake for our build system and I know that the last ruby versions have some problems with RubyInstaller in certain conditions (like the obligation to use the dev SDK or other tricks depending of the gems).

What's your experience with ruby on windows server ? Do you provide facility for ruby installations ? Maybe a Cygwin/MinGw shell ?

Kind regards,
Thomas Wickham

    Hi Thomas,

Thanks for your interest in AppVeyor!

Ruby is installed on build workers, DevKit is installed, MinGW is installed and I know there is a couple of projects using rake for doing builds. So, give it a try and see how it goes for your project. If there is something missing on build machine - let us know.

Thanks for you quick answer, we’ll setup our build quickly and come back to you in case of issue.
