Make the 'New Deployment' button work for multi app environments

None of our environments have provider settings defined in environment vars, as multiple applications are deployed to them, requiring different environment vars for each one and (I think) because of this I can't use the 'New Deployment' button in the AppVeyor UI.
Isn't there a way that the environment can pull these environment vars from yml in the artifact? Or some other way?
All our applications auto deploy to a test server after building in appveyor. It feels silly to have to rebuild the app in appveyor to redeploy it.
Having this functionality would also be great for applications that need to be deployed to a single QA server - at the moment I have to do this via PS script.
