Git For WIndows 2.5.0
Are you planning to upgrade to (finally) new release of git for windows?
It would work really good in the future with msys2 too.

Great news!
I've added a new issue to schedule its deployment: https://github.com/appveyor/ci/issues/369

I guess we need 64-bit version, right?

Also, I don't see
ssh.exe
in the installation folder that is used to clone repos via SSH.4 Posted by flashmozzg on 20 Aug, 2015 03:02 PM
I think it differs slightly from old git, so I'm not sure what is the correct way to do certain things right now (I'm assuming it should be closer to linux style).
Anyway I've found
ssh.exe
in\usr\bin

It was updated to 2.5.1

Did the docs get updated to reflect this? It still looks like 1.9.1 is listed on the build workers page.

Workers still use old Git AFAIK.
(I see that my post might've caused the confusion, I just referred to Git itself, not workers env)

Oh I see. In my build I did git --version, saw 2.x and was confused.

Just to clarify regarding Git version. On OSS environment build workers there is Git 6.x is installed (we're currently "dogfooding" it there). Pro environment is more "conservative" and there is still Git 1.9.x.

Oh, I see. There is no differentiation between OSS and Pro here so I got confused: http://www.appveyor.com/docs/installed-software#tools

Do you need 2.5 for any particular reason?

Well I wanted to try it's new features for fetching single commit out of big repository to reduce time cloning large repos/submodules but since then situation got better.
