Hi Guys

checkbox for (this is a private discussion) needs to default to ON so that if someone makes an error, the only downside of accindentally not checking it, is that no one sees a public discussion, compared to the opposite where super private and confidential information can be leaked onto the internet and scraped / indexed.

regards

Alan

    Hi Alan,

I see what you mean. I looked into Tender categories settings and indeed there is an option to have all new discussions as private by default. My concern though is experience - it's not just like "private" checkbox ticked by default, but you can't change its visibility until discussion is created. See attached screenshot.

My fear is that if all discussions will be started as private people will be forgetting to make them public and sharing the solution with the rest of community. This place is more like forums full of useful solutions and well indexed.

If you need to share a confidential information I'd recommend sending it by email to [email blocked].

    Dear Feodor

I’m sorry, but I cannot verify that you are a legitimate AppVeyor employee. Please write back to me from a valid Appveyor email address to verify your identity, failing which I will report this email address as a possible Phishing attack.

Apologies for the inconvenience if you are a legitimate appveyor employee. Contacting customers from non Appveyor email addresses is totally and utterly unacceptable.

Any replies from this original email address will be blocked.

    Sincerely

    Alan Hemmings
