Support for multiple displays in VM?

I need to test an application that runs on multiple monitors, and which needs to react to screen layout or resolution changes, or monitors being added or removed. I have tests that work in Virtualbox running a Windows or Ubuntu VM, but I would like to have an automated test as part of a build process. Do Appveyor VMs support monitors in any way - can I specify that a VM should think it has 4 monitors plugged in?

If not, is it possible to run Virtualbox / Vagrant in one of your VMs, and if so would it work to have that Virtualbox simulating the monitors?

Please check this thread, this could help you to setup Virtualbox / Vagrant on the fly.

If you need custom build VM with Virtualbox / Vagrant pre-installed, you may be interested in private build cloud, though this require considerably more money and time investment than first option.
